Want to Sell Your Home?
So, you want to put your home on the market this year? Here are suggestions on how to do so:
1) Ask your real estate agent to come by to offer guidance & suggestions for what appeals to buyers. Remember, the suggestions are made to appeal to the masses, so don't be offended by the suggestions.
2) Improve the outdoor appearance, known as the curb appeal of your home. Cut and edge the grass, trim and/or update the landscaping and add fresh mulch. Add a few colorful potted plants at the front door to add to the appeal of your home. The efforts here set the tone for what's about to come when buyers enter your home.
3) Hire a professional to power wash the driveway and walkways. In our previous home, we power washed the sidewalk in front of the neighbor’s home as well, because we felt it would enhance the appeal of our home. Believe me, they did not mind at all.
4) Paint your home, if needed. Hire a pro to do so & remember to get approval from your HOA if you have one.
Once you have addressed the curb appeal, you can now focus on the inside of the home. I'll blog about that next week. Stay tuned.
